Training & Accreditations
Robert holds a Bachelors degree in Vocal Performance, a Masters degree in Early Music Vocal Performance; Robert is a Guild Certified Feldenkrais® Practitioner. He has been a voice faculty member at Naropa University (Boulder, Colorado), PACE University (Manhattan, New York), and guest lectured at the University of Michigan, Musical Theater Department (Ann Arbor, Michigan) and Harvard University, Music Department (Cambridge, Massachusetts) and Barcelona University, Masters in Vocal Coaching (Barcelona, Spain).
Robert differentiates himself from other voice teachers and voice professionals in one major way: he is all about “unexpected learning.”
Robert’s philosophy is simple: All the tools you need to master your own voice lie within. When you can harness the power of your brain and nervous system in connection with your body, voice and creativity you can learn to do anything you want. AND, this process – like any real life learning process – is and needs to be non-linear. Because of this, Robert uses strategies for “unexpected learning” with singing, music and performance to create a dynamic learning process for each person that makes the impossible possible and the difficult truly graceful – all while having FUN!
